About

The rules exist, but never in one place: the Charter says who is exempt, each of the 46 orders states its own requirements, and the exam guide is published in French only. So people spend months preparing for a test they were exempt from, while others find out too late that their permit could only be renewed three times. This site brings the three sources together into one answer.

This site is maintained by one person. Every rule shown points back to its section of the Act or its official page, with the date it was checked. What is not published — the wait for an exam sitting, the current pass rate — is shown as unknown rather than guessed.

How the site is funded

The tool is free, with no advertising, no resale of data and no paid version to date. Hosting costs a few dollars a month, paid by the publisher. If a paid offer ever appears, it will cover an additional deliverable: the calculator itself will stay free.

Corrections and updates

The parameters are revised at each official publication. The date of the last verification is shown on the methodology page and in the footer of every screen.
